ART Connect

Youth Art Exchanges

Tara Trust & Partner Institutions

Initiated in 2011, the NGO Tara Trust developed an exchange program with the aim to connect underprivileged children from Goa to the rest of India. Children coming from deprived sections of society, such as slums and orphanages, travelled to various cities, living and learning with other children, in order to become sensitized about the world outside their homes. Art and creativity was the medium to discover the environment around them. Workshops and excursions conducted by Tara Trust along with partner organizations motivated the children to set new goals and ambitions for themselves.

Since 2011, six camps have been conducted in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.
